Protip: the U.S. isn't the best country in the world, and it certainly isn't better than Canada. If anything, they should take us over.

"Take over" has such negative connotations. I prefer "merger"
After all, it's mutually beneficial to both sides.

How? Their healthcare is taken away? They're saddled with one of the most ineffective governments in the western world? That isn't beneficial.

As dictated by classic thinkers like Aristotle. The great mind is only truly great if it recognizes it's own greatness.

The assumption you make about your greatness doesn't make you great, sorry. By the way, tell me more about how classic thinkers like Aristotle are always "right", as you seem to imply. They can be wrong too (geocentric model).

Ever read Antigone? Do you know what vice causes Cleon to fall from grace?

Hubris.

It's Creon and it wasn't hubris, it was denying an honorable burial to his nephew Polynices.

Ah yes. but thats Sophocles.

I've read the Nichomedian Ethics. There are two vices for every virtue and in Self esteems case, the vices are vanity and meekness. Vanity is similar to Hubris I suppose. The difference is that I try to have high self esteem in proportion to my feats of greatness. I don't overreach, or undervalue

Pardon me, I meant to say Creon.

And his intense hubris was what motivated him to refuse to bury his nephew. Which then kick-started the events of the play.
