Oddly enough, they based it on the German Draeger design.

As for my M15, I bought it from the Sportsman's Warehouse, but they don't sell them anymore; it's strange, they used to be as common as dirt on the internet.

My gas mask came with the drinking tube too but I could never get liquid to flow all the way through. >w>
