Depending on the nature of what happened, personal experience can actually make your account less reliable instead of more.

Or become evil spirits in neraka (state of mindless pain and suffering). As a lot more people say Buddhism is a philosophy and Buddhism doesn't have much of the base like other religions.
So you could say Buddhists are moralistic spiritual atheists/agnostics

Your rich description of the event transported us there, though. So we are perfectly capable of saying that 'impossible odds' are never going to be beaten, on account of how they're impossible to beat, and non-impossible odds will occasionally be beaten.
It seems such an alien thing to say "whew! that impossible situation was not actually impossible after all! i suppose the fault was not my own assessment, but that I hadn't accepted the lord jesus christ into my heart, amen."

When I was a teenager, couple years older than the OP, I looked into Buddhism, specifically Chan Buddhism (Zen). I read Platform Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch, and that was the most horrifically difficult book I've ever read. Wish i knew where the hell my copy went. I can't believe in reincarnation, simply because there's no way to prove it. Also we the currently alive humans outnumber every human who has ever died.

Through hypnotherapy one can see previous memories of what could be life in another body. That is a very dull and vauge explanation for reicartnation.

Which Karma are you talking about? The "justice system" karma or the "this produces consequences" Karma?

I don't feel mean enough to argue against this. I'm in too good of a mood to be an asshole right now.
