With 62% of votes from Wisconsin District 1 in, Paul Ryan has nearly 58% of the current counted votes. So he's still going to be in the House of Representatives.

I thought you were Republican? Do you dislike the idea of state rights/independence?

The electoral college is actually the most fair way of electing a president with the power on the states. It gives each state the chance to vote for a president, and then the victor of the states wins the presidency.

And frankly, don't agree with the whole "each state for itself" idea, but I think of the choices America would use, the electoral college is best. While its not directly in line with a national populous vote, I think it applies a somewhat fair balance to elections.

But who was it that called it that Obama would win the electoral, lose the popular, and people would start complaining a la 2004?

Also, how unpatriotic and vindictive do you have to be to hope people suffer because things didn't go the way you want?
