Oh really? People high on it have a higher chance of getting into a traffic accident, higher chances of suicide, chances of an overdose, higher risks of lung cancer, and more.

I don't think anyone can smoke that much.

If you want 100x the crime, violence, corruption, that marijuana prohibition has ever created, then sure, ban tobacco.

You will continue to be retarded idiots, regardless.

Exactly! Prohibition is the problem.
If we banned tobacco, roles would be reversed. Nicotine addicts would gather behind closed doors to indulge their vice, peeping through curtains to make sure police weren't creeping up on them. And when they'd finished, they'd spritz a little fragrance onto their clothes, and rub some gel into their hair and ask each other, "Do I smell like tobacco smoke?" Then, they'd go out to mingle with the nonsmoking population, nervous about the possibility of being found out, and jittery as hell from the nicotine. And all the antidrug moralists would claim tobacco caused smokers to become paranoid, and to isolate themselves from family and friends.

No, I would not. I personally would like to see weed legalized and restrictions on tobacco repealed. I smoke tobacco regularly, most often in cigarettes, but also in cigars or hookah. I have only had weed a few times and it gave me such an anxiety attack each time I decided it would be best just not to smoke it. Still, I'm not going to advocate legalizing one and banning another because I don't like one, which is what a few weed smokers I have met seem to think would be a good idea.

If the situation becomes reversed, Phillip-Morris will just end up selling marijuana, and the guy I would get my weed from would sell tobacco, and all the problems we associate with the transport and selling of marijuana would become the problems of transporting and selling tobacco.
Wait an hour, and it will be now again

No. Then people would just switch to marijuana. It doesn't help drug addicts. And it could make more than 20% of the population criminals under the law, because tobacco use and addiction is more common.

No. That will just turn even more people with addictions into criminals, and waste money to carry out the law to the fullest extent.
Legalize both and call it a day.

You seem to have missed all the liberals in favour of keeping tobacco legal.

this is Nationstates, so as you already surmised, "no".
The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.

Anyway, I think we'd see a healthier world if smoking tobacco was banned in favour of cannabis legalisation. What do you guys think?

I would not. BUT I would legalize cannabis for the sake of legalizing it... the goverment has no right tot tell you what you may or may not do to yourself. even though I do neither I still think they both should be legal.
I will not source my infoprmation 99.9% of the time. If we were talking fact to face you wouldnt ask for a source, so judge what i say on its own basis, not on whether I source it, beecause I wont. Neither will I require a source, so long as the argument makes sense.

Also, Im here to have fun. If a debate gets boring, expect me to leave.
