In large doses, yes. Then again, nearly anything in large quantities is bad.

What makes you think if weed was legal people wouldn't smoke 40 joints (2 packs) a day? How dangerous is 2 packs of joints a day vs. 2 packs of smokes? Or...how about 40 beers or 4000 calories a day. People should take responsibility for themselves.
