I honestly have no idea. Why do players do that, anyway? Is it so that they may steal the DNA of other players and genetically engineer themselves in order to become some kind of sporting ubermensch or do they just like the smell of other people's sweat?

All those tight ends and wide receivers wearing skin-tight uniforms, gathering in a huddle, trying to grab hold of each other before showering naked - together.....

On that basis I'm not sure your average American football player or fan is that interested in women anyway; let's face it, it's the most homoerotic sport on the planet.

Since we stopped Greco-Roman wrestling, any way. You know the kind I mean.

True, but you don't normally get to see the shower scenes on TV broadcasts. I for one would be much more interested if you did. :D

A very endearing sight, and as I watched, the mother otter dived into the water and came up with a plump salmon, which she subdued and dragged on to a half-submerged log. As she ate it, while of course it was still alive, the body split and I remember to this day the sweet pinkness of its roes as they spilled out, much to the delight of the baby otters who scrambled over themselves to feed on the delicacy. One of nature’s wonders: mother and children dining upon mother and children. And that’s when I first learned about evil. It is built in to the very nature of the universe. While I genuinely enjoy football as a sport and used to play it a bit and everything, I can't deny that this helps a little.

You forget Olympic wrestling.

Also, like many a sport, it really needs a female version. ( Both, I should say )

Why on Earth would we want American "football"? We already have a far superior sport, rugby.

Very much in favour. I've been to one of the games since it started back in 2007. However the idea of a team in London is simply not feasible. The NFL should allow international cities to bid to host the Super bowl just like the Champions League Final. It could be held in America one year and then somewhere else in the world the next.

Not really. Theres fucking loads of different sports in Europe.

I'm not saying American football gaining popularity is terrible or anyhting, but adding diversity? Please. We've got cheese rolling.

No, so that my sister has a reason to watch. I wish I was kidding. It's also the reason she doesn't watch women's soccer, because there's nothing there she wants to see.

This is because women's football isn't actually that good - if you want to watch football to see good football then there's a whole load of men's football that's better than anything that women's football has.

Women's field hockey (which I also used to play a bit) is every bit as good as men's, so there's good reason to watch it. Also, to be an equal opportunities ogler, there are plenty of very attractive people playing it.

Wrong football, pretend football, retarded football, fauxball... there are many alternatives to the name American Football.

We could call it 'Kid's Football'... that would probably annoy Americans.
