7's is in the olympics. Not union or league (though league isn't proper rugby anyway).
Not really. Theres fucking loads of different sports in Europe.
I'm not saying American football gaining popularity is terrible or anyhting, but adding diversity? Please. We've got cheese rolling.
7's is a form of union. Close enough. Still 7's is better than nothing.
Okay, I take it back. What I meant was that American football become popular in Europe isn't going to hurt Europe in any way.
Yeah, you guys are diverse. But according to our rather misleading sports channels, all you have is soccer, or association football, as one might say.

Anyway, people needing armour to withstand what rugby players take without armour? That's cheap.
Believe it or not, we have rugby in America.
So when I joined, my friends who play American football said that American football is tougher than rugby. I was like, "just shut up".

Rugby probably is harder to learn than American football, the lack of padding makes learning how to make and take a tackle much more important, but I wouldn't say that the hits taken in rugby are harder than in American football.
The helmet and padding make the hard hits much more survivable.

I actually picked up the game quickly. In rugby, the real pain is not from the tackles, its from the rucks. The refs can't see what goes on in there. I have been punched and kicked many times while in a ruck.

PAYBACK IS A B**** AIN'T IT NEW ENGLAND!?), I sure hope London joins in on the fun. My question though is... Europeans, how do you feel about an NFL team in Europe?
NFL
RAMS V PATS
