I'm reading that people are already blaming the hurricane on god's punishment for gays.

I'm sorry, but what fucking century is this again? Don't we know enough science to know the actual reasons why hurricanes form so we don't have to blame bad juju or the evil eye?

So I was up in Bethesda for a few days with my school's World Affairs Program. We were sitting around and watching Sandy with the usual Floridian attitude towards a Cat 1, i.e. derision.
However, then we noticed the other storm... And then United canceled our flight yesterday. So we had to drive from Bethesda to Tally in a van...
It was a very long trip.

thats wrong, katrina proved god likes, gays, drunkards, strippers and whores. the french quarter, did not flood. the people living all around them did.
