I'd say it does.

Then you're wrong.

The problem is you've already formed an opinion and you can't decouple the idea that transgenderism is a defect and transphobia.

The problem is that you've already formed an opinion that has no relation to the reality we live in, where transgenderism isn't a defect. There. Fix'd for you.

What causes transgenderism? It's either a conscious choice or it's something going on with the brain. If it's not something that's supposed to happen it's a defect.

That's not how you define a defect. Dear gods, pick up a medical dictionary.

Dude, it's not my fucking job to educate you on transgenderism. Do it yourself.

But seriously, do you realise how stupid your post is? Do you think transgendered people consciously decide to become a minority that has been marginalised and mistreated for most of history and is still treated like shit in many ways today for the lulz?

And FFS, listen to Mav.

Again, nice straw man. Try reading my posts this time, and maybe you'll see that I actually say that they have a desire to be the other gender, thus they get surgery. Then read the part where I say that this desire doesn't negatively affect functioning.

sorry bro

you can't counter a medical dictionary with a general dictionary in a medical discussion discussing whether something is a medical defect
