I don't think anyone here is exactly trying to write that a deity is valid. I'm pretty late to the argument, but it seems like they're trying to defend themselves against a barrage of hateful comments written by yourself.

To be honest, it just seems completely illogical, idiotic, useless and irrelevant to the topic you're trying to discuss to position yourself a subject that doesn't exist to you. It'd be like me debating about a hurricane killing 200 people in Minnesota last year. It never happened, at least not to me, so why should I continually assault those that believe that it did indeed happen?

I've met some really arrogant, disrespectful and rude theists throughout the years, though it pains me even more that I've met some atheist and agnostic jackasses. You choose not to believe it, okay. It's completely fair to fight against a law like the law in Arkansas that prohibits atheists from holding public offices, but really, you favor going around and just trolling people because you think you know what's right? It's sad, really.

Agnostics are by definition fence-sitters, so it would be fairly presumptuous to assign them all to one side.

Fact is, Christians remain the single largest voting bloc and I think it's time we pushed for our own sub-forum - a space to enjoy our friendships and our Faith, free from prejudice and moderated by our mods.

That's rather ironic.

If this so-called majority does exist, should they not be dominating over the minority? Should they not win every argument, because they have more manpower?

If you wish to compartmentalize these forums, please ask the mods to do so. I'd be happy if we all had a sub-forum for Christians, Atheists, Jews, Muslims, etc. That way, if I wanted to argue with any of them, I'd simply pick the correct sub-forum. Makes my life much easier as a debater.

Here's the reality of NSG: a good bit of the more respected posters AND mods are Christian. What is the difference between them and the Christians that come into these threads? Those Christians ADMIT there is no empirical evidence, and thus choose to NOT debate in these threads, knowing that they will have to deal with this issue. Hell, I've seen many of them downright criticize their fellow Christians for using outdated, and completely asinine arguments. Christians aren't suspected, ignorance and idiotic arguments are.

If anything, my RL religious belief can be best described as dystheist...the God / Gods, if they exist, have about as beneficial intent towards humanity as Earth did in the anime Vandread. That does follow into the philosophy of Kaiserholt, but with the added story plot of the Gods actually trying to help mankind directly.
