At least your conservatism is tasteful. Lot of conservative ignoramuses on here. Makes me sad.

Let's all take a break from fighting and enjoy this:

This goes for religion, too, though. You can't prove any religion. Religion was made to explain things that can't be explained.

Debate: A formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward.

Hated: A feeling of intense dislike; enmity.

The latter definition would fit for what you've been doing over these past pages. There is a clear difference between debate, which would likely go alon the lines of 'please prove that your G-d is real' to something along the lines of 'and I don't believe in your fairy tales'.

Fact is, Christians remain the single largest voting bloc and I think it's time we pushed for our own sub-forum - a space to enjoy our friendships and our Faith, free from prejudice and moderated by our mods.

Only if the Atheists get their own sub-form as well. And the Jews, and the Buddhists, and the Muslims, etc.

You already have the atheist sub-forum in the form of NSG, where the anti-Christian vitriol is a rabid and relentless beast.

A hotbed of prejudice in which we, the majority, are the ones being persecuted - at random - at will - for our beliefs and values.

It's a good thing I've never said "I don't believe in your fairy tales" in this entire discussion. I'm going to guess you've not even read any of my posts, you simply concluded I hate the individual because I'm an atheist that disagrees with him.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Which is why there are several respected Christian posters running around and a lot of Christian mods.

That's rather ironic.

If this so-called majority does exist, should they not be dominating over the minority? Should they not win every argument, because they have more manpower?

If you wish to compartmentalize these forums, please ask the mods to do so. I'd be happy if we all had a sub-forum for Christians, Atheists, Jews, Muslims, etc. That way, if I wanted to argue with any of them, I'd simply pick the correct sub-forum. Makes my life much easier as a debater.

Here's the reality of NSG: a good bit of the more respected posters AND mods are Christian. What is the difference between them and the Christians that come into these threads? Those Christians ADMIT there is no empirical evidence, and thus choose to NOT debate in these threads, knowing that they will have to deal with this issue. Hell, I've seen many of them downright criticize their fellow Christians for using outdated, and completely asinine arguments. Christians aren't suspected, ignorance and idiotic arguments are.

If anything, my RL religious belief can be best described as dystheist...the God / Gods, if they exist, have about as beneficial intent towards humanity as Earth did in the anime Vandread. That does follow into the philosophy of Kaiserholt, but with the added story plot of the Gods actually trying to help mankind directly.

I am Roman Catholic. I am proud of it but there is no need for me to tell everyone I meet. In the spirit of debating:

The people who are shoving their beliefs down our throats are the atheists. Every religious symbol that can be seen is being religious intolerant. They are shoving their beliefs down the throats of everyone else that may not agree with them.

Do tell us more about how 10% of the population, as well as a group that is severely underrepresented in the government, is shoving beliefs down your throat. Riiight.

Prove it. Christians shove their beliefs down my throat every day when they solicit me in my own home to join their congregations.

Well, actually, you don't need to prove it, because my own intolerance on this forum demonstrates perfectly why Atheists shove their beliefs down others throats.

Talk to the Christians in the Far East and Saudi Arabia or former soviet Christians if you want to know what it's like to be persecuted. YOU ARE NOT PERSECUTED, YOUR AN AMERICAN EVANGELICAL BEING TOLD THAT YOUR ARGUMENTS ARE DUMB.
