The latter...

It's probably like 0.4 or something...

I thought so, but I figured it could have been a glitch as well.

Around 500 votes.
5 votes = 1%.
2 votes = 0.4 so that's a good estimate.
It's rounded down by the looks of it, if they get another vote it'll probably bump to 1%

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

Weird. I didn't know we had any. It's a fairly rare religion. May as well throw Zoroastrianism up there.
Most people who have shinto traditions are syncretic buddhists. To identify as purely shinto is fairly jarring, akin to finding a Gnostic (religion, not in the agnostic-gnostic types) Christian. "No no, the old testement is written by the devil." etc.

It's like christianity adopted most of the pagan things into itself. To find a christian who straight up didn't believe in the pagan bits or the old testement would be weird.

The Gnostic movement in Bosnia was pretty much this.

"Christ wasn't divine you PAGAN!!!"
"Uh, i'm the pope."
"So? And while we're at it cut out that crap about virgin births and christmas."
"Uh, no."
"PAGAN SCUM!!!!! Stop reading the JEWS book! You are a heretic!!! Murder EVERYONE who isn't a gno-ohcrapwe'rehugelyoutnumbered"

Well, people are a lot more accepting of new religions if they say "And also you don't have to give up your holidays or traditions." as opposed to "And cut out that christmas stuff, that's idolatry. We'll slaughter the whole town if you do it."
"But isn't that idolotary bit in the old test-OW you stabbed me!"

We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs?
