Type of Character that you see yourself as...

Postby Galloism » Wed Oct 24, 2012 8:09 pm

Most people, when watching any kind of movie, film, series, whether reality based or fantasy based, find ourselves identifying with/understanding/seeing ourselves as a particular character.

I do tend to find myself agreement most with the narcissistic, self-serving, ancient people, IE, in True Blood, Eric Northman, Russel Edgington (without the homosexual tendencies), etc.

What sorts of characters you do identify with? Any series, real of fantasy, is fine.
Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.

New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

Changes depending upon the situation.
The blue sky above beckons us to take our freedom, to paint our path across its vastness. Across a million blades of grass, through the roars of our elation and a thousand thundering hooves, we begin our reply.

I'm kinda like a less badass version of Han Solo: doesn't really care about anyone or anything but himself, presents himself as a pro in it for the money, but ultimately warms up to the heroes and goes along with their idealistic crusade.

That, or any character whose motivation can be summed up as "because it looks fun".

Baron Vladimir Harkonnen.

Loljk, probably Alistair from Dragon Age: Origins. He's sarcastic and funny, but can also be a very serious guy; he is kind and caring, but not all that trusting, and cares more for others than himself.

While that's not necessarily a description of me as well, it's the type of person that I strive to be every day.

Are you constantly picked on by powerful women?

Classic wizard who finds things he shouldn't.

Sort of like Elminster from the Forgotten Realms when he was younger.

Of all the characters I've seen in fiction, I identify most strongly with Gally from GUNNM, and other intellectually oriented reluctant heroes who live in crapsack worlds.

It depends. I used to identify quite a bit with Sam from LotR. Also, when I was a teenager, with Bud Bundy from Married With Children

Now, I'm not so sure. Chandler from Friends, but I'm not sarcastic enough, yet. Though I do use humour as a defense mechanism. Jeff from Community, ha, I wish.

Edit: Oh, and Perrin Aybara from Wheel Of Time. A lot.

Edit2: And Butters from South Park.

Well, I identify with Saya Tagaki from High School of the Dead (the chick in my avvie), she's almost like a female version of me. I tend to think everyone is an idiot, and I generally like to strategize.

My friends say Shinya Kougami from Psycho-Pass is alot like me too, not sure if that's good or bad. :meh:
