NSG's Mildly Strange Hobbies...

Postby Manahakatouki » Mon Oct 22, 2012 3:59 pm

'I like to ride my bike, play video games, surf the web, and hang out with my friends...'

Honestly, how many people really are into the silly four hobbies you may have had to list over and over again when you were a kid applying for something...?

...Other than everybody I suppose...

No, this thread is for those strange hobbies you partake in that you're sure wouldn't be listed in common activity lists, from strange sports, mud pie throwing, glass making, and anything else you're sure is rare and wonderful...

Personally, I play a karimba while listening to other music, I dare myself to read books in the most strangest of positions, places and times, and I walk my dog in the park...

So what do you like to do NSG, that you're sure no one could guess?
And so it was, that I had never changed.

I'm a loser in my spare time.
Let me clarify by saying that I don't have any cool hobbies. Or any hobbies, really.

I like to copy Greek and Latin texts (mostly the latter) in hands that approximate what the originals might have looked like.

Well, you are supposed to only mention relevant interests based on what job you are applying for. Like you wouldn't mention video games if you are applying for McDonalds, but it would be appropriate if you were applying to work at a video game shop.

I'm on the Board of Directors for my HOA. I'm particularly fond of harassing other Board members who like things like deferring maintenance, manufacturing problems so they can have something to complain about and lying about people for personal gain. It's a fun hobby, akin to politics but without the expense.

I like to critique porn movies, specifically lesbian ones, because they're the most patently absurd.

Beekeeping. No, really.

Though I haven't any bees right now. Disease struck the local apiary and well.. that plus a weak summer and bad winter.. Thinking of getting some next year though. Just a nuc to start off and then build it up. Maybe marking the Queen too, it's hell searching for unmarked queens, even after you've got your eye in.

I try to live my dream life on Sims 3, restarting the game if something doesn't go the way I intended it.

On a regular basis, I imagine that I'm a Dancehall DJ.

Also, I don't have much of a life outside NS, GTA and Sims.
This is no longer my main nation (got bored with it).

I like to collect military items like pouches, jackets, webbing, etc. I also like to wear various types of masks and know how to wrap 3 different masks onto my face from random cloth if needed. Odd? No, I live close to the north it cold up here.

But my favorite hobby would be shooting guns at the firing range. Mostly old WW2 rifles.
