LONDON (Reuters) - Tens of thousands of protesters marched through London on Saturday calling for an end to public spending cuts and tax rises launched by a government they accuse of elitism and ignorance about the plight of recession-hit voters.
1. Better late than never, was almost afraid that us Brits had forgotten how to protest.
2. Never did agree with the Tories' economic plan, the fact we're now in a double-dip recession just as was predicted what would happen.
Personally I would've focused on getting the economy back on track to help get people back into work and boosting tax income without actually raising whilst the welfare bill goes down at the same time. THEN looked at making cuts starting at the top including MPs' wages and cutting bureaucratic waste before working my way down.
3. Even with the Expanses Scandal of a couple of years back still fresh in people's minds its discovered 27 MPs are exploiting a loophole by renting flats to each other at the taxpayer's expense.
So much for Davie Boy's "We're all in it together." when MPs are taking home £80K per annual before expenses and extra cash from lobbying.
