Wisconsin State Rep Puts Foot in Mouth

Postby The Black Forrest » Fri Oct 12, 2012 10:56 am

Jumping on the Aiken coat tail I guess.

Wisconsin republicans are running quickly away from one of their own.

Where do they find these people?

-edit-

Sorry I guess that was a tad short. I guess I was a bit surprised.

The rep is not a young man. His father was a jackass by his comment. As it was said by another some girls claim false rape but that is more of a condition today. How often was that claimed let alone reported when the rep was a young man.

Even then the rep should have known better to simply parrot his dumb ass fathers comment. There is no taking it out of context. People say stupid things all the time and most will go back and basically say "you know it made sense in my head but having read it, that was pretty stupid. What I meant....*better explanation*

Unless I am mistaken; fathers usually don't warn their sons about claims of date rape.

All in all. I suspect the rep is another version of Aiken......

It's impossible to back what this guy said.

Unless you post the contents of your links and actually put what he said into context.

I mean, seriously:

A state representative is drawing heat for saying that his father had told him when he was young that “some girls rape easy” as a way to warn him that a woman could agree to sex but then later claim that it wasn’t consensual.

In context what he said is no less misogynistic.

"It wasn't rape, I'm sure the slut said yes and then said no after because she didn't want to get in trouble!"

Even with context his comments are vile.

Could we kindly get a bit more content to the OP, please? Thanks. A comment, question, and links do not a great start to a thread make.

What he meant: Understandable.

What he said: Idiotic.

Some Jews burn easy.

LOL gaiz, I meant that Jewish people trust others easily, and then when it goes bad they claim that they were innocently following along!

You don't, at any time, make a statement that involves a sentence like that and not expect to get set on fire.

If it takes a bogeyman (bogeywoman?) to make boys think before they start having extramarital affairs, it is worth looking misogynistic.

I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm saying that I understand it. I can see it being a statement that could cause discussion, and be something that would be worthy of pointing out logical fallacies, and the intricacies of consent.

It's highly dubious. The question is basically whether or not this was consensual sex. It could have been - after all, consensual sex with anyone under the age of 16 regardless of your own age is sexual assault according to those laws. If it was rape, what he said wasn't really relevant and not a good thing to say. If it wasn't rape, it's basically something I've heard very often, living in an area where sex with anyone under the age of 16 regardless of your own age is considered sexual assault. Do. Not. Ever. Have. Sex. With. Anyone. Under. The. Age. Of. 16.

Even if they don't complain, everyone else can file charges.

You have to admit that it's easier to evoke fear than to convey truth.

If there's just a "yell" or "claim" or any other number of things put before "rape" in that statement, or if the word itself is written differently (or SOMETHING), then what?

You have to admit that it's easier to evoke fear than to convey truth.

It's also easier to rape someone than gain consent. Doesn't make it any more right.

At this point the Tealiban will run someone for office and he'll say something directly to the effect of "Damn sluts need to stay home and make me sammiches and babies."

And the media will blow it off as a minor oopsie.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

I agree with what he said, his only mistake was saying something that was very easy to take out of context.

Yeah, all those girls who get raped totally consented and were just making things up after the fact to get out of trouble!

I notice all the people who talk and talk and talk about how women withdrawing consent after the fact just to fuck with their partner and save themselves never have any actual statistics or studies to back this up. The argument relies entirely on a negative view of rape victims, and women as a whole.
