Depends,my main probelm is that they are dull,spend too much time alone and have no real friends.I was never abused or had to work and I am grateful for that.So whats your deal?

I don't really feel like y'all've shared this experience with me, but my teenage years have been great. I was diagnosed with depression at 10, although this has never really come up at school. Somehow, I managed to get good grades but also be on the School Football and Hockey teams, popular with the popular people, though I've never been horrible to anyone with not as many friends. I suppose if they found out about NS... I mean I've made some quite a few bad decisions but all worth it, I've had the best time of my life and I'm only halfway through! WOOOOOO!

My parents pretty much spoiled the shit out of me until I had become a teenager.

I played sax, learned about jazz, raced karts, played role-playing games and Battletech and went to conventions, had a mullet but that was common at the time I swear...we didn't know it looked ridiculous...dammit..., was so obsessed with a John Hughes-esque notion of popularity that I didn't notice that I was actually kind of well liked and if I hadn't been such spazz about it I would have been even more.

Had a big-ass yellow Chevy Malibu Classic, not the hot rod Malibu but the granny version (but also for NASCAR homologation, so the wheel wells were huge), lived in a rural suburb so I went to abandoned lots and taught myself Dukes of Hazzard tricks.

Would sneak into apartment complexes and schools in the middle of the night to swim (it's hot as hell where I grew up in the summer, at 3am it's still in the 80s).

Every pretty girl that smiled at me was a potential epic romance and every one that rolled their eyes at me carried the condemnation of their entire gender.

I always thought it would be cooler to do all those things without worrying about parents and having my own money. Fortunately, at least in the 90s, you could continue being a teenager through your 20s where you have a job you don't give a shit about, discover overpriced coffee, and continue to behave like nothing matters for another ten years so that when you're in your 30s and realize that everyone else actually got on with their lives while you were fucking around you can feel like a sad little loser 10 years after being a teenager.

I guess there's too much to describe. I had quite nice teenage years, as my parents always cared for me and helped me.
Still developed some more psychological problems during that time, and/or made those I had already worse.

I'm in them. I just started the month countdown to my 16th B-day. (31 days). Well, I went from being a Liberal, to being a Conservative, to becoming neither, all within 2 years. I have also been experimenting with religions and seem to settle in to what I firmly believe. It's been a period of getting to know myself, I would guess. I guess the same can be said about any person in their teenage years.
