Lax gun laws are what's described as "allotment features". Crime happens for many reasons, but places with high poverty, low economic opportunities, poor public facilities and the like are much more likely to resort to armed violence. If Southern states taxed and legislated more effectively, they'd have the funding and facilities they'd need to set in place a culture of knowledge, not violence. This, it seems, gears more people in general towards the average American life over the average criminal's life. At the end of the day, having a gun is much more deadly than having a knife, especially if one isn't trained with it.

There were a few things that both of them said that made me say "What the fliegen fluzeug?" for a moment, but other than that, I'd say that they both did fair enough. Romney ultimately had more energy and confidence, which only proceeded as the debate progressed, with the inverse occurring to President Obama. I didn't see or hear anything substantial that'll go down in history though.
