Sadli i wouldnt blame the robber much cause things have gooten really bad in Paskistan a million are homeless , very low supply on food, threat of being killed. Not everybody can handle all that mental stress.

Lmao i must have miss that part my bad lol but either way New york city is not a cheap place to live, especially for a minority sometimes, also personal ussues might be the problem. Again not everybody can handle that.

If you can't handle the stress of life without going out and comitting armed robbery, perhaps you need to be restrained in a special institution - either a mental hospital or a prison.

Hopefully, however, this person will simply reconsider his life choices.

Remember that most cases of armed self-defense look like this (and thus are rarely reported), and do not involve dead robbers.

He did the right thing. I wonder why folks don't ask for help instead of resorting to drastic actions like this? I still can't forget about the Californian family that committed suicide because they had financial troubles.

Anyways, he shouldn't have shot the robber unless his life was in danger, but he should have kept the robber in the store until the cops arrived. Criminals need to be taken off the streets, not given a new lease on life.

Yes it does. The authorities can deny a permit application arbitrarily. Also, handguns are legal in other cities in NY state but the the licensing process is also a pain in the ass and the permit application can be denied arbitrarily.

I thing this shopkeeper was very brave and he did right. Giving the robber a second chance may make him think about what he does, maybe this guy will never do anything like this again. i think such moments can change lives.
