But they lack the ability to effectively use it. They're still years away from having a practical carrier group. As of now all it is is a penis enlargement pill for diplomacy. Its worrying yes, but not something to be concerned about too much.

Aye, it'll probably be their training ship for new crews once they figure out how to make their own carriers.

In the past 20 years, China has been actively retired aircraft carrier purchased from other countries, in order to master the technology needed to develop aircraft carriers. Chinese media has reported that Chinese-made aircraft carrier construction work will be conducted in two phases: the first stage of the construction of four gas turbine equipped with the aircraft carrier, two of which manufacture is completed in the 2015-2016 years ago, displacement in the 5 -5.5 tons; in the second phase will start construction of a displacement of 65,000 tons of nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. In other words, the Chinese navy will eventually build four to six aircraft carrier battle groups, were stationed in the South China Sea and East China Sea waters.

This a planned amphibious assault helicopter carrier
This is the DF-21D anti-ship ballistic missile which can even sink a carrier from 1609 KM. (1000 miles). Missile is launched from land and supposedly goes into low orbit before coming down.
