Over time I've found that my attraction to women changes. For a long time I preferred brunettes but always wound up with blondes. It seemed that blondes preferred me. I liked large breasts and intelligence wasn't an issue. Women are people, each with her own individual thoughts and feelings. It baffles me why any woman would knowingly choose to be with someone who thought of them in such a manner. I can only assume that they have either been conditioned to think that being treated that way in unavoidable, or they do not know that you are being superficial. I primarily think of specific physical characteristics when it comes to women. It's true though that a good personality would be needed for any long-term relationship, but for short-term things, I don't blame guys for sometimes judging women by how they look. It's not like he has to pick a partner for life or something. I guess it also depends on what you find to be physically attractive.

Appearances are deceiving though, unfortunately, and we were never meant to naturally look 'pretty' or 'handsome'..back in the cavemen days, women were similar to men in many ways, with the exception of the reproductive anatomy. As for today, the only reason that some do look 'pretty' is because of constantly having to shave and shower and put on makeup and worry about weight and worry about their hair and a ton of other things.

In my case, I guess I'm just not attracted to women that aren't physically attractive to me, I'll admit as well, even though I know that how they look isn't everything. Ultimately my outlooks might change, but maybe I'll just never bother with a formal marriage either.

So ultimately, if you're looking for a life-long partner (Although with all the biomedical advancements in the future, aging and such might be rapidly slowed down)/marriage, focusing just on appearances won't be good for you. If you're looking for a one-night stand, or a "friends with benefits", or just a dating type situation, then it won't negatively impact you as much if youre someone who just focuses on appearances.
