Building on the shoulders of giants, and all that.

He's just peddling to the lowest common denominator - there's not really anything brilliant about it.

Once you've heard it, you can never un-hear it. Once you noticed that Bush had thoughts about 'nucular' weapons, that was it, it just stuck in your ears every time he said it.

So for me, the part of the second debate that is going to stick with me - is the fact that Romney talks an awful lot about something called 'lettuce-lation', which I guess is like 'legislation', only greener.

romney is 100% of the fail obama is 20% of. i don't want romney. i don't WANT either of them, but i REALLY don't want romney. i've gotten to where i can't stand to listen to either of them. so someone else will just have to tell me if either of them say anything subtantive, about anything interesting, instead of what we wanted to hear four years ago. when we maybe could have believed any of it.

oh, and lettice lation. i'm glad one of them said something stupid funny. we needed that.

and too bad i can't change my vote in the poll. i no longer want obama to win. i still just as much want romney to loose, but i'd really rather have jill, or even one of the others.

i'd change it if i could, to that "some third party". at this point almost ANY third party.

truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

P.S. go see 2016 Obama's America and stop being lazy and brainwashed by him.

2016: Obama's America is a stellar piece of brainwashing - by the Right.

As to the first part of your "argument", I trust you're referring to the statement wherein Obama claimed "We've added enough new oil and gas pipeline to circle the Earth and then some"?

Guess what? He's right. In the first two years of Obama's Presidency, the USA has added 29,604 additional miles of oil and gas pipelines. Given that the Earth's circumference is 24,873.6 miles, he is entirely correct: the USA has, under Obama's Presidency, added enough new oil and gas pipelines to circle the Earth, and then some on top.

But, judging from the style and content of your posts in this and other threads, facts and reality mean nothing to you. So go on, dreaming your paranoid, delusional nightmares of Obama as some anti-American President, "informed" by an extreme right-wing hit piece on him.

Just don't expect anyone to treat you with any more respect than your arguments merit.
I find it funny that a guy who got pinged for bigamy while being appointed the president of Liberty University Lite has the gall to release that sort of movie and claim some sort of high ground.
Plus I can read between the lines. The whole link to Schindler's list and Obama is yet ANOTHER insinuation that the President is an evil muslim nazi commie that doesn't love jebus and wants to take all our guns away...but it's being sponsored by FOX so is this really a surprise?

Nope democrats and non-republicans too.
You don't have to actually watch FOX for that.

So you criticize without actually observing what you are criticizing? Nice to know you draw your conclusions from nothing.

As opposed to the level where he has to sit in a puddle of it? Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Yeah, but you have to like the metaphor of the latter...plus he could sit in it even after the dripping stopped.

Ah, true, I got confused with the "talking" part of it... thank goodness I'm a programmer and knowing what each part of a sentence is not part of my job :p I was learning to verb but changed my mind at the last minute... but at least I know its a necessary part of the sentence!

Mitt Romney encourages business owners to lobby their employees regarding who to vote for:

"I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections," Romney said. "And whether you agree with me or you agree with President Obama, or whatever your political view, I hope, I hope you pass those along to your employees."

He continued: "Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I think that will figure into their election decision, their voting decision, and of course doing that with your family and your kids as well. I particularly think our young kids ... they need to understand that American runs on a strong and vibrant business and we need businesses growing and thriving this country."

Romney is correct that such behavior is not illegal. After the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling, which greatly expanded corporations and unions' political speech, employers can legally compel workers to participate in political campaigns.

You're saying this without any proof. I can counter-claim that President Obama will not create a third-world government in a scary world if re-elected, without providing any proof, and my claim is as valid as yours.

However, the burden of proof lies on your shoulders at the minute, so feel free to actually prove to us, with evidence that isn't InfoWars, that Obama is aiming for, or will cause, a third-world government in the USA.

Don't be deceived when our Revolution has finally been stamped out and they tell you things are better now even if there's no poverty to see, because the poverty's been hidden...even if you ever got more wages and could afford to buy more of these new and useless goods which these new industries foist on you, and even if it seems to you that "you never had so much" - that is only the slogan of those who have much more than you.

You don't really expect him to come out and just say who he's trying to be president of. Well, at least not without being secretly recorded by a cell phone.

I mean, he could be making his case to employees that he's good for the nation...but...

Anecdotally this is happening at various degrees. Our fuckwit CFO showed his talent by making implied threats of lost employment if we didn't think about our vote.

Talking to associates and friends some of have hear the same thing. Big wigs want Romney as he will make them more wealthy.

It will be interesting if they keep this crap up; unions will return on them if they think they have such rights over their employees....
