I mean, they have to have agents in the U.S. You don't even need them to produce the film. Just join an Islamaphobic group or two, talk with some serious anti-Muslim people, suggest the idea of a film and its storyline, try to push them to make it, etc.
If the video doesn't get some serious views or get off the ground, send it to Al-Nas TV. Get it close to 9/11.
Anger ensues, have some hardcore rioters (hey guyz, jump on the bandwagon, we're riotin' over here) stir emotions at the protests, chaos ensues. Attack an embassy yourself or have an allied organization do it, whichever is the cheaper method.
It's really scary to think that a few people with cameras likely costing below $1,000 and props probably not even totalling up to $500 can do something like this, if al-Qaeda isn't just doing this to shake things up against Americans in the Arab World. If someone posts another two low-budget heavily anti-Muslim videos, what will happen from there? The price of terrorism just went down significantly.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. The stupidity of Muslim-baiting American trolls, I mean, of course.

And if al-Qaeda agents (they could be white Americans) pushed them to make this video?
Also, sorry if I just sound like a complete fool. It almost hurts me to type that above sentence. As I said, I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but this would be a cheap, easy and simple plan that would cause more trouble across a wider area than al-Qaeda could've done by itself at the moment.

What the hell is a hadgi? I assume you mean the slur 'hadji' (wrong spelling of another term, by the way)? These aren't even Iraqis and many of them probably aren't Muslims that travelled to Mecca...
The best thing you can do is to either leave the embassy or leave it up to the authorities of that country. You know what would probably make a group of people more angry at you? Killing some of that group with your guns.

My old friend, Brother William of Ockham, would say you are multiplying entities. There's no need for a more convoluted explanation than that some American trolls managed to score a hit on the very sensitive nerves of Muslims.

I was about to post the same reply.
Then, divine interference made me think of this.

Typo. I was on a phone.
It doesnt matter where they are from, still a damn hadji in my book.
And no I would not leave the embassy, and I will not leave it to the authorities.
Where the hell are we going to go if we leave the embassy? How long would it have taken evac choppers to get their?
Also, I didnt mean just light up a buch of unarmed civilians protesting. If they are throwing rocks or other debris at the embassy and over its walls, that doesnt justify deadly force. Unless of course those protesters decide to break down the gates and mob the building.
What the hell am i supposed to do-were I part of the security detatchment? or even at the embassy at all? Just let the mob attack me, beat me to death? Were I part of the security detail, no I would light up as many as i could. They made the choice to storm the buidling.
So fuck you.
I'd rather be tried by twelve than carried by six.

It does make perfect sense. The Middle East is so volatile that a couple videos or cartoons can create hell. Armed conflict over a movie. If it escalates, I'm going to assume the people involved are drunk.Vitius wrote:I'm usually not one for conspiracy theories (well, I can't think of a conspiracy theory that I believe in besides this), but wouldn't it be tactical for al-Qaeda to produce this?

They think american film = american government.
Its the only thing they have heard about or experienced due to censorship of american culture.
They blame american government because they are suppose to get rid of american freedom to insult religion.
They want an apology from the president and they want the movie banned.
Also they want it to never ever happen again.

They're too used to censorship at home.

They simply don't grasp the concept of Free Speech in the West. They're so used to being cracked down on just about anything so they assume if the United States government isn't cracking down on whoever made the film then that means the government endorses and/or made it.
