Of course, if you're slightly less dark than alabaster and live in a third world country and commit violence of some kind OF COURSE you're a muslim! How silly of me, I forgot to take my daily dose of propaganda from Fox and Michelle Malkin.Gauthier wrote:Northern Dominus wrote:You know this almost begs for an experiment. Make the most insulting and denegrating movie possible featuring Jesus of Nazereth including pedophilia, bisexual group sex with Mary Magdaline and ALL of the disciples, and of course coprophilia.
Then ensure that every single Evangelical wingnut in Uganda such as Martin Ssempa sees some of the more outrageous moments of the silly movie and say it was produced in America.
Then sit back and watch, see what ensues.
Except they'll deny any results with the "EBIL MOZLEMZ KILLED MOAR" copout.
They're getting support but they have an entire country to build, and they did the best they could but in the face of a rocket shelling plus mortar fire, that's a helluva lot of firepower.North Calaveras wrote:Northern Dominus wrote:Corrected...for a variety of reasons which probably won't make a diference anyway.
And as I've mentioned, time and again, and which you've ignored time and again as well, religion doesn't matter. Ignorance and zealotry combined with charasmatic fanatical leadership in ANY religion can lead to a hair-trigger of violence if that particular narrow fundamentalist interperetation has believed their god has been insulted somehow.
The only difference between the islamic wingnut fundamentalists stirring up violence and riots in places like Tunisia Yemen and Egypt and the christian wingnut fundamentalists here in the US is the realization that if they took to the streets in outrage over the same sort of dumb movie that Mulsims have been reacting to is the fact that the US has more and better trained law enforcmenet that would disperse and arrest them very quickly indeed.
That is the only difference. Fundamentalist zealotry is fundametalist zealotry and dangerous no matter what religion is being used to bolster it.
are you saying Libya didn't have the funds to defend the building? I thought we were funding them.
I dunno if you know this but Libya went through a pretty devastating civil war this year...it takes time to rebuild the infrastructure and train new police officers, they don't grow on trees.
