The point is that the attack on US personel seem to have been carried out by people who would have attacked regardless of the movie.

The point is also that we do see poor Christians rioting when they see bad images of Christ. It's not a thing limited to one - or indeed just two - religions. People tend to get upset when they see something they take seriously being mocked. It happens all over.

Which doesn't matter because those will be brushed aside when the detractors get to comparing volumes of violence. You're not violent if you don't have a bigger bodycount than Islam.
