Just to chime in real quick: we've had to delete the occasional frothing liberal as well as the occasional frothing conservative. Part of the issue from a moderation standpoint is a reporting bias- we can't scour every topic in NSG, and more liberal players are around to report misbehaving conservative players than there are conservative players reporting misbehaving liberal players- in addition liberal players tend to be less likely to report people they agree with.

That's actually why for awhile we had to basically take every single NSG report, lock the thread, and trawl through the entire thing. That seemed to deal rather effectively with the reporting bias since liberal players would get caught in the same net and smacked when they reported a conservative for the same behaviors they were getting up to. Given it's an election year, perhaps we need to step back up to full lock 'n trawl moderation in here again.

Let's say I can design cars and you can make lollypops. I want so much to have a lollypop! And you need a car so badly!
So we make a deal. I'll make a car for you and you'll make a lollypop for me. Again, it's a very theoritical example targeting on your leftists view about "product exchange market".

Some communists are all "Fuck the rich maaaan", but the actual theory dictates that the capitalist system is the root cause of most of the ills you're complaining about. I don't automatically hate a rich person, I'd hate it if they were pompous and elitist, sure, but the economic system lets them accumulate wealth at the expense of others.

Long-running gag that goes back almost to the origins of NS moderation, actually. When we first got mods, there was a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth that these new authority figures would be corrupt and horrible and the death of NS and thus evil. So when I got modded in 2003, I decided to head it off at the pass and call myself evil first.
