Comparing the Tea Party to the Occupy movement is kinda apples to oranges. The Tea Party has an established hierarchy with substantial corporate funding and Republican support while Occupy is basically anarchy.

I dont really believe that being a Tea Partier myself, but even if that were the case, still much much better than the shit occupy pulls.

The Tea Party politicians lead to the debt ceiling crisis, I have no respect for them at all.

I'd rather see an entire city of crapped on cars than a nation thrown off of a cliff after halfway climbing up the first one.

A grassroots movement gone horribly wrong.

AFAIK, they actually did start off grassroots and neutral-republican. They ended up as a proxy for richer beings though.

Has the Occupy movement not maintained its original methods, values and beliefs?

It's really hard to determine what exactly are Occupy's values and beliefs, at least beyond the most general of terms.

And I would consider that maintaining of their vague ideas a success! ;)

At least now I have evidence to show to my family that the Occupy Movement is most certainly not the Democrat's Tea Party.

I always find it funny that the people who actually are among the 1% feel the need to protest the 1% of their 1%.

Such ignorant fools.
Zionism is the only path to peace. Masada will never fall again.

“Nobody does Israel any service by proclaiming its 'right to exist.'

Israel's right to exist, like that of the United States, Saudi Arabia and 152 other states, is axiomatic and unreserved. Israel's legitimacy is not suspended in midair awaiting acknowledgement....

There is certainly no other state, big or small, young or old, that would consider mere recognition of its 'right to exist' a favor, or a negotiable concession.” - former Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Abba Eben

meh, I would say " hordes of college students and hippies, plus some drugs and crying" as an overall look at the movement, but there are some legitament concerns.

I think it's actually the reverse. The vast majority have legitimate concerns while some hangers on are trouble-makers (I'll acknowledge that since I've seen it, but at the May Day parade, only one fellow out of four or five hundred was a real problem), though I bristle at the dirty hippie stereotype as an inherently negative one that allows us to dismiss concerns. I also see the homeless members and drug addicts as people with something to teach us. If we don't acknowledge our problems, we won't honestly have a discussion and ameliorate the situation.

That's why I never took Occupy seriously, they would always say the cops were being harsh and such

They were! You saw the UC Davis incident, right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHxkv_TJCIg
