How can something that wants to destroy human civilization and kill every human is "harmless" or "well meaning" in any way shape or form.

The goal is to find a radical solution to the very serious environmental problems in the 21st century. That's well-meaning.

Also, they don't want to kill every human, they want to convince humans to not have children and possibly sterilize themselves. They don't want anyone killed, hence "voluntary human extinction movement".

It's a defeatist cop-out solution based on a pointless self-sacrificial ethical standard with no systemic analysis. However, it's not horrifying, just stupid.

While I suppose it isn't an ideology, I am afraid of people who aim to make people feel uncomfortable being who they are and who threaten people solely for being different from them. Groups like the Westboro Baptist Church, the KKK, the Third Reich, and so on promote or promoted the hate that rips our society apart, and I've always felt that such groups are disgusting and a threat to humanity's best interests. It's upsetting that some people are intolerant towards other human beings, but for me the line is crossed when they act on that intolerance, and ideologies that promote oppressive action against people really bother me.

There are ideologies that disgust me, by which I mean anything right-wing or authoritarian.

But if I had to name a single ideology which actively terrifies me (sends shivers down my spine when I think of it and its possibilities), it would be transhumanism.

We're going to need some degree of transhumanism to fight against tyranical regimes. It is because of humans' extreme capacity for suffering that such regimes can remain in place, because they scare people into compliance by using torture, and people also fear the physical pain of combat from fighting the regime (like severe burns from explosions and perforations from bullets). Therefore we require genetic transhumanism to reduce humans' capacity for suffering.
anti: theocratic personal tyranny, capitalist and socialist economic tyranny, police-authoritarian tyranny, adult-supremacist tyranny, and the pacifism that all tyranny rests upon

That hasn't stopped people from protesting, rioting, revolting, fighting, etc. Allied soldiers captured by the Japanese were often tortured. Despite the widespread knowledge of this practice it didn't stop citizens from joining the military by the millions.
