You have to be daring to call Robespierre a "left winger".
Also, sorry for having a revolution. We definitely were wrong from executing all those supporters of the monarchy.
Plus, Robespierre wasn't even the most bloodthirsty guy in the revolution. Prussians were. And many other revolutionaries sought to do more than he did, like, destroying the Church, which Robespierre utterly failed to do.

Revolution is not wrong. Slaughter is, because executing your opponents en masse reduces you to their level. At best.
Don't be deceived when our Revolution has finally been stamped out and they tell you things are better now even if there's no poverty to see, because the poverty's been hidden...even if you ever got more wages and could afford to buy more of these new and useless goods which these new industries foist on you, and even if it seems to you that "you never had so much" - that is only the slogan of those who have much more than you.

The French Revolution started nobly, but when the executions and murders of relative innocents such as Marie-Antoinette, Princesse Elisabeth, the Princesse de Lamballe, the Dauphin Louis-Joseph and the Comtesse du Barry, then it became more about blood than about real change.

Antoine Lavoisier had to be killed for the sake of the revolution? Really?

Just because you support revolution doesn't mean you have to support every single thing that happened in every revolution. Revolutions can develop internal hierarchies, too.

Actually, Nixon would be a far sight less scary than today's Republicans. He knew when to give in on things like environmental protection, at least.

Because being stifled and repressed leads to unhappiness. I think you're sorta missing the context of what I said though.

ask moderation about reading serious moderation candidates TGs without telling them about it until afterwards and/or apparently refusing to confirm/deny the exact timeline of TG reading ~~~ i hope you never sent any of the recent mods or the ones that got really close anything personal!

signature edit: confirmation has been received. they will explicitly do it before and without asking. they can look at TGs basically whenever they want so please keep this in mind when nominating people for moderator or TGing good posters/anyone!

Tarvelia's terrified by people who want a secular government that helps people.

Says a lot about how fucked up his worldview is.
