IF they are going to do an armed revolution, they need to get the Republicans in Congress not to pass a budget for 2 years.

2 years with no military or federal police force would make the federal govnerment easy pickings.

To be fair, that's basically what the founding fathers did.

But they didn't call themselves 'Real Brits' when they did it

Taxes raised more

On the top 1% of earners, who are currently paying historically low tax rates. Middle-class earners would get a cut in order to increase spending and demand.

77.8 millions out of work

Of course, if Congress actually worked with the administration to create jobs through other means than tax cuts for the wealthiest, then that wouldn't be as much of an issue.

A liberal/socialist kingdom

I understand all three of these words, but not how they fit together into a coherent thought.

Plainly idiotic. The only way anyone can muster any proper recognition is through dialogue, not revolution. This is not 1776 and Obama is not their enemy in the proper sense of the term.

I seem to recall some communists being prosecuted under the Smith Act for just the insinuation, w/o proof, that they supported armed revolution.

Indeed, it is on the wiki front page today

Taxes raised more

Taxes are a good thing. Shocking I know. And tax should be relative to income. The super rich should pay a higher tax than the destitute, that's simple logic.

77.8 millions out of work

This a lot more to do with the system than the man in office. Contrary to what you may believe, the president does not have absolute power when it comes to making decisions.

if you americans vote Romney, the world and in particular us Brits will fall out with you big style. What kind of knobhead comes to the host city of the Olympics less than a week before it starts and claims we aren't ready, then says he managed to organise a successful olympics. Yeah Mitt, a Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The 1 Olympics no-one bar the Scandinavians give a shit about in the middle of nowhere. He pissed off Boris Johnson. BOJO OF ALL PEOPLE!!! He looks like a giant albino labrador in a suit, and is quite a well spoken easy going guy, and Romney manahed to piss him off.

Also, 77.8million unemployed? I doubt it.

For anyone interested in reading the entire article, it's available at the end of this Huffington Post page. You're looking for "Whitehouse Watchdog" on page 7.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/0 ... 01510.html

This is absolutely pathetic. The editor has literally stated that circumventing the results of a free and fair election with military force is the proper way to preserve the integrity of the US republic. What a moron.

Also, who else head-desked when they saw the article on combating the "Muslim infiltration"?

Yup. It's been amended, as well as constrained by some Supreme Court cases, but the core is still there.

Incitement, which this clearly is, can still be constitutionally punished.

Since things like this are only going to increase tenfold should Obama win his second term, we may see some prosecutions eventually.

I don't mean to be rude, but I find this to be an utterly simplistic take on the matter.

If taxes are lowered, less money goes into public services. Public services such as infrastructure, public safety organizations such as fire departments and police departments, and even (yes) social welfare are absolutely vital to the functioning of the economy. Otherwise, we have no decent roads, we have to put out our own fires and find our own ways of dealing with violent criminals, and are constantly facing the threat of armed revolution from those unable to put food on their table for whatever reason.

Part of me hopes this happens, but more of me doesn't want it to. I've got too many friends down South who would be targets for these loonies, including several minorities and my brother's girlfriend, whose parents are (proud) Teabaggers. Even though I know that the "revolutionaries" would lose, I don't want any of my friends being hurt.

Hoping that this just ends up as more extremist rhetoric, and nothing substantial comes from it.

Here's the relevant text as reported by PoliticsUSA:

President Obama, is a “political socialist ideologue unlike anything world history has ever witnessed or recognized,” and that the only option is “armed revolution should we fail with the power of the vote in November:” If one is confused as to what Republicans consider is a “political socialist ideologue,” the newsletter claims President Obama “shuns biblical praise, handicaps economic ability, disrespects the honor of earned military might,” and that under Obama, “the government is out of control, and this opportunity, must not be forsaken for we shall not have any coarse (sic) but armed revolution.”

This is not a new story. The original newsletter was published in March of this year.
