Globalization is not inevitable. It is only a by product of peace. History shows that lasting peace between major powers is impossible. I heard that nations are first going to form unions like the European Union, and will start with at least union of two countries, and soon there will be unions of whole continents then each union will want form a bigger union with another unions and goes on until there a one world government. But that will happen in around two centuries.

This is perhaps the most accurate assessment of the situation. Contributors are correct it would and does take a lot of effort to unite us under one banner. However, it is not impossible to persuade the masses to "behave." We already have trade blocs in existence: the North American Treaty Organization/North American Free-Trade Agreement, the European Union, Mercosur/Mercosul/in English South Common Market for South America. It's very easy to to inch closer and closer toward a united world government through economic inter-dependence. The classic phrase, "money talks," is alive and well in politics.

Take our community for example. We thrive on "my point of view is correct and if you disagree with me, you're a crackpot." On the surface, its mass chaos. Despite all of our widely diverse and often times vitriolic debating, we're still held to account if we're caught breaking the rules. We are still firmly under control.

What does it matter if a single user is banned purely based on arbitrary decision? Ten? A hundred? A thousand? What are you going to do about it? Do you pay a single cent toward the servers? If the answer is "no," then you have precious little credibility to argue. Again, money talks.

So when you say it's utterly impossible for a world government, just remember one simple concept. A well-funded organized minority can outmaneuver the disorganized majority every time.
