Israel is a nation and is fantastic. Though admittedly the Ultra-Orthodox annoy the shit out of me. Fucking reached Master Trollage Levels. During Birthright, I was walking with my ex and her family past a very old orthodox neighborhood and I had just come from Temple. All I hear is "---Muta" and I look up kind of quizzically at some kid on a balcony. Then he repeats in English "YOUR WALKING WITH A WHORE."

They ended up being right. Fucking Ultra-Orthodox.

I'm a Zionist for both secular and religious reasons - therefore I like Israel. Likud on the other hand... Also, I wouldn't object to the anti-Semites and Nazis pouring into this thread. Who knows? After a few hours of rigorous discussion, we might have them begging to meet with local rabbis regarding conversion. I mean who doesn't want to control every major world government and financial institution...

I also tend to have a favorable view of Judaism, but then anybody who didn't know that already probably isn't playing with a full bag of marbles.

Only on NSG. Perhaps that's why Generalites are constantly bringing up circumcision? I remember the last circumcision thread with which I was involved. I was accused of being a terrible potential parent for wanting to circumcize any male children I might have, had my rational, well-composed arguments ignored by the majority of the posters (though a decent number of people gave me acceptable responses - even if they disagreed with my position), and ultimately left feeling as though nothing had been accomplished by either side - except the conclusion that the case could have gone either way. To be concise, I'm never doing that again.
