I already knew this. It is whether or not gay marriage is something permissible.

According to the Talmud two Jewish man can try and get married any way the want and it simply is not recognized.

Whether the secular government should abide by this is a different story.

There will be those left leaning Orthodox communities that recognize a gay marriage religiously based on their status of being "ahnoos". Right leaning Orthodox communities will not recognize a gay marriage at all.

But, in civil matters, I suppose that is what I am asking.

No no. I am Arborlawn. You told me you live in Texas. I simply changed my name. I am in Fort Worth, and go to Israel often. You also vote Republican.

I believe Gentile homosexuals should be afforded the same rights as Heterosexual gentiles... I do not however believe the Law is subject to change.

I understand the Law. However, we have to understand that the time it was written in, is a much different time than today. Same thing goes for the Bible as well. We do not do most blood or livestock sacrifices as we did way back then, the Law and tradition has changed. Is it asinine to follow a code of Law that may be obsolete today, or is it what Adonai wants. I remember Adonai being a savior for the people, the common man. How we may feel about love should not be judged and not be determined by us, but by the words of God. How can we say that homosexual marriage cannot happen as the times and feelings change? Can we adapt like we have done in the past?

I heard they are pretty good. Yet I also hear that Israel is this testing ground of new military technology.

They are. Israel constantly creates and tests new technology to remain superior to the enemies.

I did disown you after being a Republican. But in all honesty, I support Shas in Israel. The perfect cross between Orthodoxy and Socialism. Mizrahi Jew for the win!

But yes. My original nation was named off a Methodist Church near my synagogue.

Well yea. Middle Eastern politics has two choices.

A) Go crazy
B) Threaten Israel.

As far as my understanding goes of remembering political parties of Israel when I was young.

Likud Beitienu- Rightists who believe in neo and revisionist zionism. Was never fan of Likud or Yisrael Beiteinu.

Kadima- Center-left. They are an okay part, but nothing to much sticks out too much. I think they are too centrist a party.

Labor- Great party. I wish they had their power they originally had back in the beginnings of Israel.

Shas- Im not orthodox, but they seem an alright party. However, Im not a fan of religious governments.

Hatnuah- No, just no.

Jewish Home- If Shas went Yisrael Beiteinu politics. No.

National Union- Same as Jewish Home

UTJ- Too orthodox, reminds me a lot of a lesser known Shas.

United Arab List-Ta'al Coalition- I wish for more Israeli-Arab interests, however I am not a fan of anti-Zionism.

Hadesh- My leftist brothers and sisters.

Meretz- More of my leftist brothers and sisters, I have a little less interest in green politics though.

Balad- Interesting an Arab democratic socialist party? Would like to see more..

Otzma Le Yisrael- Reminds me too much a more rightist Yisrael Beiteinu....I never thought that was possible.

Am SHelem- Shas seperatists, Idk why.

Yesh Atid- Dat new party. Seems interesting but it looks like a smaller Kadima.
