The Talmud Bavli has jurisdiction over everywhere but Israel and the Talmud Yerushalami has jurisdiction within Israel. Problem solved. Where and how does the Talmud contradict the Torah?

Written law is awesomeBut unless you have oral law, it hardly makes sense.
So... God said some things and Moses wrote some of it down? And whatever he didn't write down, he passed down orally?
I r confused for real.

Note: I don't mean to say I want a Jewish friend solely to go Passover. However, it's a situation I'd like to change, mostly to have someone to talk about the Old Testament/Torah with.
The Old Testament, to me, seems like the really dark side of the Christian God. Maybe there's something I'm missing?

Yes they've changed the laws and some even suggest that there is a new covenant which pisses me off but hey HaShem's HaShem! It doesn't matter which religion you follow, He doesn't follow human ideas.
jews dont believe in a trinity, to christians god, jesus and the holy spirit are manfestations of god. jews should find this blashphemy. the muslim god is much more in line with jewish thought.

Do you like flirting with us or something.
It really is only dark if the human element of the "Old Testament" is ignored [ the side responsible for 95% of the events in the "Old Testament"].

It really is not the problem of contradiction but more or so, is it valid and practical in today's world?
*Not that I take an anti position but more of a context position.

Moses was given the first 5 books of the Torah at Mount Sinai (The Written Law), Moses was given an explanation of the first 5 books at Mount Sinai, as well (The Oral Law). The Oral law was eventually codified (written down) so as to preserve it from being lost.

There we go! NOW I see what Talmud is (I hope).
As for flirting with Jews... Well... I've only ever met one Jewish person in my life. He was rabbi and an ex-sniper for the Israeli armed forces. So I've never really had a chance to flirt with Jews, except you beautiful people on the internet
