Exactly, these people probably do not want to serve and having them do so, will probably make the IDF less efficient.

It was crap. The actors were just saying words and not caring. I managed 10 minutes. It was Bible stories done like Twilight.

are there any tests (like TOEIC or JLPT etc.) for hebrew that actually get hosted outside of israel? in fact is there any widely recognized one period? i ask because google is pretty useless this time and i figure at least one of you must know/i cant find the hebrew thread and if i did itd probably get locked if i posted in it anyway.

It's ironic that in many schools the men don't actively want to wear tefillin while the women do.

There was a whole big stink here about the local feeder HS to yeshiva university allowing women to wear teffilin, its kind of hard to get an accurate grip on the story as the jew papers tend to be much more liberal than the old time orthodox rabbi's. So we have been seeing a lot of stories about orthodox feminist women.
