I never heard of this calendar.
If it be 30 days ahead of standard then Rosh Hashanah ain'r gonna be March the anythingth. it will be Augustish Septemberish.

Standard year has 12 months; 7 years out of 19 have ve-Adar, the Leap Month added. Occam's razor. to create a calendar 30 days ahead apply a different cycle of Leap Months.

Heredim are Jews especially devout ones however. The exemption in the most neutral sense seemed sensible considering the Heredim naturally want to avoid military draft and enforcement of draft on their children.

Israel is in constant danger of attack. It needs the draft.
ALL citizens must do militia duty is an excellent Patriotic principle.

But I guess Haredim will make IDF less efficient. The one thing worse than a religious nutter without a gun is a religious nutter with a gun.

yes but in the context of the harardi and the draft. where the harardi argue its to protect torah study, which is the point of the draft, and torah study is what they do.
