Seeing as it is highly improbabble that we find sapient life on Mars, nothing substantial will happen. Christians will still go about believing that God made the Universe for us... and much of the world populace won't even know that we found evidence of life.

However, it will be a large step forward for the scientific community, and that is exciting.
This Debate is simply an exercise in Rhetoric. Truth is a fickle being with no intentions of showing itself today.
