Or to translate for you, you jumped out of helicopters and other craft into open ocean to save peoples lives, many times in harsh conditions. Which really shows your level of care about how fast someone claims they can swim in a (in effect) wading pool.

Uh, full disclosure, I never was an AST. My swims in basic were well above the qualification standard but my marksmanship scores were in the top 1%, so essentially I was headhunted by the GM program with more money.

That being said I still swam regularly even after graduating and getting my first post and on a couple of open-water swims with an AST friend of mine he remarked that I should have gone to AST school.

We are going to tne ocean Sunday, are you free? There is some very good pizza in it for you, if you come along.
