Even if we ignore the fact that your picspam is facebook-specific... there's nothing intrinsically more laudable about ignoring someone else's beliefs, than about discussing them.

And all you've really highlighted is the double-standard. If someone starts a thread (or posts as their status on facebook) on here about how there is no god, it will get commented on by (irate) theists, and most people won't think that at all unusual or uncalled-for. And yet somehow, reverse the roles, and all of a sudden it's evidence of how intolerant atheists are.

Indeed, when you express your beliefs on a discussion forum, it should be your expectation that it will get criticized, because that's the whole point of a discussion forum.
