Fortunately, Putin's Russia isn't representative of modern states; but I guess you wish that it was as you're apparently anti-statist.

The OP has one post - this one. They haven't altered their default flag.

This fits in perfectly with my theory that the NSG forum is spawning puppet nations for posting topics that it must always have in plentiful number.

Nah, they'll probably end up in one of the gulags rehabilitation facilities in Siberia.

Yeah, I think that protesting in a church is counter-productive for their cause, giving Putin an excuse.

Let's face it. Some polls did show that about 50% of the Russian population did indeed want another Stalin, so why wouldn't they vote in an autocratic guy like Putin? Sure, he's autocratic, and quite harsh against opponents, but he's quite good at what he does. Or so I believe.

EDIT: Yes, I know Stalin wasn't autocratic, he was totalitarian. I get that. But you simply don't have totalitarianism today, except in the DPRK.

I'm afraid that people are well and truly overreacting to this.

While it has been painted that they were arrested for protesting, in actuality the charge is hooliganism.

What have they done? Well, they trespassed, and they were being disorderly in a place where they had no right to be disorderly. This is a group who also have a history of similar actions (such as stealing chickens from the supermarket and placing it up their genitalia).

In any country they would be arrested for this, it's just that because they're an anti-Putin group, they've been portrayed as an anti-Putin protest who were arrested for political reasons- which absolutely wasn't the case.

Some people may claim that 7 years is too harsh a penalty, and while those people are entitled to their opinions, I for one support harsh sentencing and measures to straighten out disorderly youths.

Protesting against Putin is fine.

Creating public chaos and trespassing on private property in order to do so is not.

If I started playing a lute in my friends house when he didn't want me to. Do I deserve a decade behind bars, hooliganism indeed. Your entire argument is based on the fact that they haven't hit thirty yet, this obviously doesn't make their opinions any less relevant as you may have noticed.

and lastly seven years behind bars can turn you into a hardcore criminal, why would you want your precious 'disorderly youth' leave worse then they were when they went in. In which time they will not be contributing to society, and will not when they are released because let's face, what would they owe the society that destroyed their lives.

Give me a counter-argument, I'm bored.

Criticism is usually not respectful of the person in question. I've heard people (misguidedly) liken our Prime Minister to Hitler and some other things. People in public have done the same thing and they aren't in a courtroom on charges.
