Gay rights is an initiative of rich, white gay people (democrats are more likely to accept gay marriage, and the super rich are overwhelmingly Democrat. To the contrary, the poorer you are, the more religious you are, and the religious barring maybe the Catholics oppose gay marriage) trying to force their views on everyone else seeking equality for themselves, and when the people reject it they go to their likely rich, white buddies on the court benches to invalidate minority opinions. As per the 1st Amendment, people have a right to their opinion. It may be unpopular, stupid, and even completely ridiculous, however, each citizen is entitled to have an opinion. This issue started with the Chief Operating Officer, Dan Cathy admitting to being "guilty as charged" when it comes to supporting traditional marriage. From there we've witnessed it erupt into a media firestorm.

What really is unacceptable is the mayors of Chicago and Boston simultaneously declaring that Chic-Fil-A cannot enter their respective cities because of the firm's values. I am not aware of any legitimate cases of homosexual employees and/or customers being discriminated against. If there is documented cases of discriminated based on sexual preference then there would be a genuine case of "You're not allowed here."

Consumers do have a choice in the matter - if you don't want your money going organizations that support traditional marriage (or anti-gay as it has been popularized here on NSG) then simply don't eat at Chic-Fil-A. If you're craving fast food chicken there's KFC, Popeye's, McDonald's, and Burger King, just to name a few.
