here's a video of some of my favourites http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsdXTZx7 ... annel_page

and here's a link to the old photography thread for those not aquainted with its 2,000+ posts http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=489636

edit:
Vojvodina-Nihon wrote:So, who else does it? What subjects do you most like doing?

me, and i like landscapes & sunsets (as per the video lol), and that's about it. i like playing with long exposures and the like, but i also like to keep things simple
Vojvodina-Nihon wrote:What kind of camera do you use?

Canon 20D DSLR - its a bit old now, but still a damn good camera. 22-80mm Canon zoom lens does the job for most things, though i'd like to have a wide-anlgle (maybe 14mm) lens, but there's no point buying one cos Canon changed their lens mounts for all their DSLRs a couple of years back, so i may as well wait until i get a new camera.
i also use a little Fuji finepix thing for shots when i'm out & about or travelling
i have a bunch of filters (polarisation and grad-ND are a must!) and a bit of flash kit (a couple of heads, brolleys, etc) but i don't get to use them much.

oh yeah, and my website link http://www.hljphotography.co.uk/ but i haven't taken anything new in almost a year (or maybe more :()

So reviving this thread from a month ago, here are some new ones from the end of term and holiday in Portugal.

I have others of friends of mine, but I'm not sure they'd want me uploading to a random forum. Anyone else with holiday snaps?

"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

architectural, industrial, landscape, and interior.
anything in which humans are NOT prominent and cars are nearly always entirely absent.

i don't think i have anything on the net where it can be linked from.
most of my picture taking was done between 35 and 45 years ago
although i've got a digital now and do manage to get out and use it occasionally.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

Regrettably colour noise is one of the challenges I face when using digital photography, even in SLRs. Although new digital cameras are better than older ones in terms of excluding colour noise some still make it into the output photo.

Yay, gravedigging. <.<

Figured I'd update this. Haven't fully sorted most of the pictures I've taken over the last few months, but here are some of waterfalls during the unusually rainy summer we endured up in the Northeast (up until August, at any rate).

Image - Bash Bish Falls, in Massachusetts; sometime in July I think.
Image - High Falls, in New York; taken around the same time.
Image - Diamond Notch Falls, also in New York. Perhaps a month later (water levels had dropped somewhat). (Somewhat smaller version, due to me playing around with my camera. I've really got to stop doing that, it causes bad things.)
One of many Czardas puppets. I regarded this as my main account upon creating it and for several years thereafter, but these days, that's no longer important.
Death is patient, death is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Death does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The snow has passed in England, though it might be back soon, so any snow pictures? They're always pretty.
