Saudi Arabia's justice system is quite brutal and absurdly misogynistic, but at least they're consistent. I think I'd be more disgusted if they flogged rape victims, chopped off your hand for stealing, and yet handled vehicular manslaughter with a fine or a little prison time.

I've never wanted to chop off the head of the guy who stops at every single stop sign.... primarily because I would be the one stopping at every single stop sign... as that is what the stop sign means... to come to a complete stop.

I've never gotten the concept of suddenly excusing the horrid acts of irresponsible people while they are behind the wheel. It's almost as if people thinkg they should have a right to act irresponsible while in control of a multi-thousand-pound death machine.
