Some Orthodox Positivists would say that the Nazi's actions were totally legal, and that the victims had no right to rebel.

Well, what they did in Germany was legal (Hitler played off of paranoia, giving him absolute power) but I would say that doesn't make it right, and they have the right to rebel.

I agree wholeheartedly. In fact, that was the viewpoint of Radbruch: the Law is the Law...unless it's intolerable.

Denial, that is expected.

Disregarding the humorous but true argument, that is expected.

In sum, if you dont have the intellectual courage or wherewithal to challenge my assertion that you are ignoring our statements, not finishing your sentences, and attempting to use fancy words to cover the flaws in your argument.

Either way, it's useless. All we are doing is giving him the satisfaction of a response to his insulting, fallacious and dishonest bullshit.
If any of you is liberal or left-wing, the most self-respecting thing to do is get out of this thread, ignore him, and let him wallow in his delusional filth.

*shrug* I'm probably done after this last post.

This is the Milankovitch Cycle. It happens every 100.000 or so years. Notices the OP's graph above shows heating at about every 100,000 years roughly. Hilariously enough, the Milankovitch Cycle causing warming isn't happening now. OP fails yet again.

you must be kidding if you seriously cannot see the pattern in this graph:

I'm so disappointed in you.

Why do you hate freedom?

anarchy isnt freedom since it always evolves into absolutism.

WOW!

these are two of the most incredibly ridiculous statements that I have ever seen posted on the web.

How can anybody debate or respond to this nonsense?

No, it doesn't. You should know this as a graduate of ECO 101; competition between entities balances opposing forces out.

He's right, though. The water cycle moves much, much faster than the carbon cycle.

OK -- sorry about the delay, but an RL problem developed. So:

AuSable River, your original post has been called trolling; that happens when you make forceful statements of opinion and don't swiftly clarify or support them. Instead, in subsequent posts you were condescending and insulting. You were told by Jenrak and Sedgistan, and by a number of other players, that this is a debate forum and that your actions and tone were not acceptable. Sedge said that if it continued, you would be warned. It continued.

*** Warned for trolling and flamebaiting ***

Lirena, I acknowledge that in the early days of the thread, you were debating. Sadly, you eventually settled for simple abuse and baiting. Noted the "buffoon" snark at You-Gi-Owe, too.

*** Warned for flaming and flamebait ***

There are a couple of picspam posts that verge on flaming; the warning's unofficial this time, but the following should cut it out: Of the Free Socialist Territories and Arborlawn, and also Hibernicus, whose contribution was pure spam. (There were other pics I've not complained about, because they were relevant, funny-ish or harmless. Intent is what causes trouble.)

You-Gi-Owe, The UK in Exile, you need to be very careful with exchanges of generalisations like these two. Posts that essentially say, "Liberals/Conservatives always think like this (flamebaity version of opponent's views)" are bad arguments at the best of times and unwanted in a thread where the temperature's already risen.

The Slyfalsian Dystopia and The UK in Exile (<--who should certainly know better), consider your wrists soundly slapped for spamming -- even in a dying thread, spamming's bad, m'kay?

Overall, guys, it's the usual thing: say what you have to say without needlessly antagonising or belittling other posters. Sure, some opinions will "antagonise", because people won't agree with you; but it's the "needless" that brings on the red text.

Given the level of mod intervention needed during its lifespan, this thread will not be reopened.
