Baptists themselves can be different depending on sects, are you a "let's sing 20 songs about Jesus" Baptist or a "women who wear denim jeans will go to hell" Baptist?

I am a regular Baptist, but I live in the Bible Belt. I do not think any Christian group will go to Hell as long as they are saved and live like a Christian (with the exception of Jehova Witnesses.)

Can I ask why? Also, I was raised Catholic and they thought protestants would be saved but Mormons and Jehova's Witnesses would go to hell.

Baptists most certainly DO try practice conversion techiques. When my sister was "born again" and belonged to a baptist church, she was always sending her kids out "soul winning" which involded banging on people's doors a la the Mormons.
why Dosen't anyone Respond To The Hard Questions This Is What It's About...

Um.... What is the Hard Question here? This? What is your opinion of the Baptists?
Not really Hard but ok...
My opinion is not so great. I find their recruiting methods coercive. Their insinuation into every detail of members lives is shocking. As I said before they take a very literal interpretation of the bible which I find silly. Women are often encouraged to be mindless, opinionless baby making machines.
Now thats just what I've seen based on observing Baptists in my circles and neck of the woods.
If the OP is happy, that's all that matters.

Well, I do not know of any Baptists who go from door- to- door like Jehova Witnesses to convert people, and I can see your point about the women. Though I do not necessarily agree with it, I believe women should be quiet when in church because that is what the Bibles says and I read it myself.

Baptists tend to take a very strict and literal interpretation of the bible.
Yes, so you better kill all the non-Christians (Deuteronomy 17: 2-7)
And make sure you don't allow blind or lame people in church (Leviticus 21: 17-18)
And NEVER wear clothing made out of linen and wool (Leviticus 19:19)
It should go without saying that those who touch Mt. Sinai will be put to death (Exodus 19:13)
Obviously you must kill a woman who isn't a virgin on the day of her wedding (Deuteronomy 22: 13-21)
And speaking of killing, kill children who don't listen to their parents (Deuteronomy 21:18-21)
And of course kill anyone that works on Sunday (Numbers 15:32-56)
Isn't the Bible beautiful?

You know how we Christians tend to always try to convert people like you? Well the Baptists are the ones who are the least concerned about converting people and practically keep to themselves, yet their are one of the Christian groups who are persecuted the most. Perhaps it is because of our interference in politics.

Actually, I really only follow the New Testament.

The Catholic Church=/=Jehova Witnesses. We don't really try to convert people anymore (however, the Church does try to negotiate with Orthodox Patriarchs and Anglican Bishops in order to bring them back to the Church).

Well considering the Bible, the holy book of Christianity, contains the Old and New, I'd say it's a package. Most modern Christians do ignore all the bad PR parts of the book though. Except for the part about gay marriage. THAT'S the one rule in the Old Testament that's true.
