(Please tell me some other source picked up on this too.)

Darrell Issa (R-CA49) has put forth (or is talking about putting forth; the article wasn't clear about that) legislation that would name all the waters within 200 miles of US coasts - our exclusive economic zone - in honor of Ronald Reagan.

I'm not even going to bother with the proposed name; my sig alone should tell you what I likely think of it. The bill itself is the major thing here. He and his ilk bitch and bitch and bitch about actual issues and then, when they actually have half an opportunity to do something on those issues, they instead focus on shit like this. Par for the course for mainstream US politics, really...

So what do you think?

Hey, remember in 2006 when oil prices were starting to go through the roof, the housing bubble was out of control and we were running huge deficits and yet Congress decided to investigate steroid use in baseball instead of addressing these flagrantly obvious problems? SSDD.
