Liberal I guess.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

I've been a registered Republican since my eighteenth birthday, but I resent the hijacking of my party by social conservatives. I'm a strong federalist; if any state wants to allow, ban or restrict abortion or assisted suicide, decriminalize marijuana, permit same sex marriage, or impose stricter vehicle emissions standards than those mandated by Washington, it should be able to do so without Federal interference. I support a strong defense and an assertive foreign policy, and I favor our alliance with Israel. I suppose I wouldn't have a problem with seeing the well-to-do pay higher taxes, if we could be sure the money would be used to pay down the deficit and not wasted.

I'm neither but I am both.

Meaning, I take stances that would make be a liberal, but also a conservative.

  • INTP
  • All American Patriotic Constitutionalist/Classic libertarian (with fiscal conservatism)
  • Religiously Tolerant
  • Roman Catholic
  • Hoplophilic/ammosexual
  • X=3.13, Y=2.41
  • Supports the Blue

I support Capitalism do you? If so, put this in your sig.

So, regulate Wall Street and don't let another sub-prime mortgage crisis happen. But other than that, I want the government out of the market. That the principle of human nature will regulate much of the other problems that capitalism may pose.

However, socially:
- Rehabilitation instead of Welfare
- Pro-Death Penalty
- Legalize Marijuana
- Pro-Choice
- Personally dislike homosexuality. Politically and socially, I let them do their thing if they don't impede on my life
- I want TOTAL 100% Secularism. Like that will ever happen

So what am I? I think I'm a conservative and liberal Frankenstein Monster. I voted Liberal since liberal is synonymous to Democrat in America. And right now, Romney is the most evil person I've ever seen since Bush.

Holy crap! It's some sort of hybrid, conservative, liberal monster! Kill it! Kill it before it's ideas have a chance to spread!

But personally I am very liberal. Social conservatism pisses me off and seems so illogical to me. And when it comes to economics, I don't think I am quite as leftist as my signature might say. I mean, I do think the government has a duty to interfere with business if it is to protect the people and environment, but there is a line of common sense. The government doesn't have to control everything. I prefer a sort of mixed system when it comes to economies.

So if you chose liberal, do you mean liberal all the way?

Same question for the conservatives.

I often get the impression that conservatives think liberals are credulous and ignorant, while liberals believe conservatives are cruel and evil. Probably it's more a case of some of the worst people on both sides giving the rest a bad name.

-pro-social democratic economics
-pro-amnesty (after a background check)
-pro-gambling and prostitution
-pro-drug legalisation

In terms of these things

anti-death penalty
anti-second amendment
anti-border wall, I suppose
pro-choice
pro-social democratic economics, but not entirely
pro-amnesty
pro-gambling, anti-prostitution, except under heavily-regulated laws
pro-drug legalisation
pro-environment

I view myself as a right wing conservative of the barry goldwater mode. Most polls classify me as moderate because i believe in the EPA, and dont mind gay marriage . (shrug).

that said the poll should have a category for moderate. they may be an endangered species
The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.

Economically Liberal. Socially Conservative. What am I? In Canada, I'd vote NDP if I were 18.

Centrist, but in the U.S I would be a liberal...

Come to think of it, anything not reactionary in the U.S would be liberal.
