The amount of lefties on NSG can make me feel rather isolated, however it gives me plenty of targets for my right-wing cannon of doom!!!

Perhaps its the use of the "right wing cannon of doom" that pushes us to liberalism and leftism...

It's odd. I'm economically a leftist.
I tend to be socially liberal with most things...except law and order, occasional interventionism, and freedom of privacy.

I never understood why so many leftists go on NSG. I guess because Nation States lets you role-play a socialist nation that controls every aspect of its citizens lives in the name of being "progressive."
When anybody preaches disunity, tries to pit one of us against each other through class warfare, race hatred, or religious intolerance, you know that person seeks to rob us of our freedom and destroy our very lives.

Not an American (in fact, a European), though I lived in the States for ten years.

And I'm liberal, for the most part. Honestly, I don't identify with a specific group; I just believe whatever I think is right at any given time. It just tends to side with the liberals more than not.

Within the constricted and constipated US context, I am a staunch and bleeding liberal. It's an inexact description because left-wing ideologies don't get air-time here. I'm actually a left-libertarian (anti-statist) democratic socialist with green tendencies.

Libertarian, so I'm more conservative than liberal but I hate conservatives sooooo badly for their social policies.

It can do that...or it can allow you to role-play a left-libertarian nation like mine where business is highly regulated but civil and political rights are massively respected. Don't make the mistake of thinking that left-wing or socialist automatically means command economies, statism, and repression.

I'm somewhat of a laissez-faire capitalist. I believe that the market does far better if the government only regulates it on behalf of the people. So, regulate Wall Street and don't let another sub-prime mortgage crisis happen. But other than that, I want the government out of the market. That the principle of human nature will regulate much of the other problems that capitalism may pose.

However, socially:
- Rehabilitation instead of Welfare
- Pro-Death Penalty
- Legalize Marijuana
- Pro-Choice
- Personally dislike homosexuality. Politically and socially, I let them do their thing if they don't impede on my life
- I want TOTAL 100% Secularism. Like that will ever happen

So what am I? I think I'm a conservative and liberal Frankenstein Monster. I voted Liberal since liberal is synonymous to Democrat in America. And right now, Romney is the most evil person I've ever seen since Bush.
