Did you miss the part of the Gospels where Jesus tells us that we can only find salvation through Him? I would suggest better study of Christianity in general. It has always been taught that you can't get to Heaven without accepting Jesus Christ as your savior. A quality consistently absent in all non-Christians.

Also, I don't believe this is acceptable. I wish people would stop doing this; I don't think that Jesus as he is taught in the Bible would have told his followers to do such a thing - make those related to those whom died feel worse.
But my opinion doesn't matter as a Jew, does it? Not like we own the first half or so of that book or anything, right?
EDIT: By that book I mean the Bible. The Old Testament is the Torah - with some changes I believe.



Its rather annoying when Christians preach from the OT one minute but when they are called out on a certain verse they claim that the OT somehow doesn't count.
