Handball is awesome.

I just can't get myself to care about team sports events at the olympics. It's got a proper world cup already.

Think that in the older days there weren't protections. And wounds were used to see if someone had hit the opponent. Just think of those WW2 movies with German officers possessing fencing scars from their academy days.
Much more badass than tennis but still elegant.

Yes, but in them, they're annually, and people care a lot more about the olympics than about those world cups. Precisely the opposite of what's occuring in teamsports. Or most teamsports, anyway.
